THIS IS MY PROPHECY FOR THE TEAMS THAT WOULD STAND OUT AT THE FIFA WORLD CUP AND A LESSON FOR OUR PERSONAL LIFE PART 1 BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE
Before the last UEFA Champion’s league final, some of my folks asked me which team would win the trophy. As a Liverpool fan they shouldn’t have expected me to rate Real Madrid above the team I love, I told them Liverpool will be winning come what may and they should take my words anywhere.
The big day came and my words didn’t come to past. They started calling me after the match, I responded to some and couldn’t resist the distress, I ignored some people’s messages and calls that night. Lol.
They said to me; “Pastor but you said Liverpool would win”. One have to be more careful when your close pals that don’t really call you pastor due to your close affiliate, call you Pastor before raising an issue. A3+, Apostle Awe Ayodele, thanks for mocking me that day ooo, I have not forgotten oo.
I responded to them by saying; “I was not in the spirit when I said Liverpool would win, flesh and blood revealed that one to me”. They persisted with more questions to mock me, I asked them again; “Is it your Liverpool or your trophy?”.
They reminded me that I said Liverpool slogan, “You will never walk alone” has always been coming to past. I told them, “We didn’t actually walk alone, we only walk without trophies sometimes”.
NOW TO THE SOON TO START FIFA WORLD CUP: SIX LESSONS IN MY OPINION
I mentioned some teams that would do brilliantly well and get to the finals but some folks said I don’t like my nation but these are my reasons;
1. Some teams like Nigeria only go to the world cup to participate and not to be among the finalists that’s why qualifying alone for the tournament calls for huge celebration. Teams like Brazil, Germany France don’t really celebrate when they qualify for the tournament because their focus has always been making it to the final.
In life, it is not every one that wants to make impacts with their names being written in the sand of time of their generation. Some are just comfortable being a mediocre and the peak of their life goals that they desire is just to be a bit financially stable, get married and have kids.
2. Why our team captain, John Obi Mikel also turned a football politician over night as he also made promise to the President and his aides before leaving the country for the tournament that they would be returning next month with the trophy.
Thanks to him anyway for making the politicians experience how it feels when one is at the mercy of failed and vague promises as they also do to the citizens.
Other teams are not only promising, they have been working, strategizing and preparing. That is why some teams may not need to pray before they would trash us on the field of play.
In life pursuit, prayer is not a substitute for diligence and responsibility. Promise and mere wishes can’t replace preparation and actions. God will bless the works of your hand more not only the mere “Amen” in your mouth. Amen is not a plan, it’s an agreement to take actions.
