NO ONE IS DOING YOU A FAVOUR WHEN YOU ARE MEETING THEIR NEEDS BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

NO ONE IS DOING YOU A FAVOUR WHEN YOU ARE MEETING THEIR NEEDS BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

Briskly this morning I visited the bank to complete a transaction as I desired to get it done on time so as to attend to other schedules for the day.

I walked into the banking hall, followed the usual procedures as I queued till I was able to get through to the bank cashier. I approached her with the required documents including my national voters’ card.

Immediately the cashier discovered the transaction I was about to complete would require her making photocopies of the required documents, her countenance changed because the machine at her counter wasn’t working.

To my amazing, she spoke to be in a way I couldn’t imagined, out of fury she said; “go upstair, meet the security personnel to make photocopies of the documents”.

I was filled with awe as I spoke to myself as if I’m from the state I’m yet to visit, “what the heck is wrong with this folk?” and also spoke from the locality I’m from and I’m; “no be only you sabi vex or para, I fit para for you too oo. If no be say today na Monday, I for give you back as he dey hot”.

I couldn’t imagine a bank cashier sending me on an errand with such mannerism. I quickly put myself together with thousands of words and thoughts on my mind. I didn’t want to create any drama and didn’t want to waste my time in the banking hall so I proceeded upstair.

Short story, I met the security personnel and he went to an office to make the photocopies of the documents. I returned to the cashier and got the transaction done.

The focal of this experiences is that, the security personnel and the cashier desired me to tell them “thank you” after the transaction. I made them understand they didn’t deserve my thank you as far as I’m concerned.

I’m the one that deserve their thank you for sending me on an errand when they aren’t doing me a favour for that because the transaction I did was also favouring the bank and they are doing their job by attending to me even when I have to do part of their job for them by running errand for them.

I’m always surprised when I hear folks tell me what they go through when they go for job interviews and their employers tell them “we don’t need you here, we are only helping you not to be jobless”. In the long run, when they get employed, they use them like a waste bin.

I’m always wowed when I hear about what folks go through as an employee. Someone told me of getting a bank marketing job where she has to meet up with a target of about 50 people monthly to open a bank account with millions of naira to get a required salary.

The target seems almost impossible and I asked her, “do you think your employer can meet this target themselves”. I told her, “You are jobless and enslaved”. One’s job shouldn’t be a punishment or a burden. I had people use their body to stay on a job, what a NONSENSE in a capital letter. You have been priced for cheap enough, discover yourself and know your worth.

Listen to me program convener, you aren’t only doing that your minister a favour for inviting him or giving him honorarium, he is also meeting a need and he deserves a level of appreciation.

I’m encouraging you young minister, when you get to some platforms, when they ridiculed you, failed to receive you well, give you honorarium that isn’t even commensurate to your transport fare after the stress and preparations for coming, your pay day is closer than you can imagine.

A time is coming when you will be reaching out more to those that deserve your worth or value and not only those that demand it, it’s not pride but it’s a process and stage.

A time is coming when those that were not there when you were depositing and investing into your personal life and development will be ashamed to withdraw from it due to their excesses and selfishness.

Listen to me, Mr. or Miss or Mrs Ego, you are not doing that your spouse, fiancé or fiancée a Favour for choosing them ahead of others or saying a “YES” to their proposal, they are also doing you a favour. In all thy getting, get sense.

VALUE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU THAT HELPED YOU: CHRISTIANO RONALDO’S LESSON

VALUE THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU THAT HELPED YOU: CHRISTIANO RONALDO’S LESSON
#COPIED
*Christiano Ronaldo’s lesson!*

When he received one of his awards recently, Ronaldo dedicated it to a certain … Alberto Fantrau. Then said: “Yes I am a great footballer and all my success is thanks to my friend Alberto”

*People looked at each other and said, “Who is this Mr. Fantrau?“*

Then Ronaldo went on: “We played together in a youth team. When Sporting of Lisbon recruiters came to observe us, they told us that the striker who scored the most goals will be recruited into the sports academy.

*That day we won 3-0. I scored the first goal and then Albert scored the 2nd with the head. And then the 3rd goal was the one that impressed everyone. Alberto started from the wing, then found himself face to face with the keeper, dribbled the goalkeeper and all he had to do was push the ball into the empty goal. In the meantime I was running to his side. And instead of shooting into the empty goal, Alberto decided to pass the ball to me and I scored. This is how I find myself at the Sporting Lisbon Academy. After the game I went to him, and asked him “why did you do that?” And he replied, “Because I know that you are better than I”*

Curious to know more, the journalists began to investigate and were able to meet this Alberto Fantrau to ask him if the story told by Ronaldo is true, and he confirmed it, adding that his career as a footballer ended after this match as it was the only opportunity to become professional and since that time he has remained unemployed.

*However, journalists, observing his luxurious house and his Mercedes parked in the garage asked Alberto “but being unemployed how could you have such a house and car and living so luxuriously? You seem rather comfortable physically ” Alberto’s answer: “All that? .. is Ronaldo*

Moral of this story:

*Let us ask ourselves the following question: How many of us have ever done something like Ronaldo and Alberto? On the contrary, many of us show the opposite of this story showing selfishness and ingratitude to their mates.*

Friends! Let’s help each other so that we are proud of the success of our brothers / sisters / friends / relatives.

And when we help a person succeed, the latter must never forget those who contributed to this success in his life.

*And above all, we should never forget that God is watching and judging us.*

VALUE PEOPLE THAT HELP YOU GET UP BECAUSE WHEN YOU ARE DOWN THEY WILL ALSO BE THERE TO LIFT YOU UP. DON’T FORGET THOSE INDIVIDUALS THAT CONTRIBUTED TO YOUR SUCCESS AND ACHIEVEMENTS BECAUSE IF THEY WERE NOT AROUND YOU AT SOMEPOINT YOU WON’T BE WHERE YOU ARE TODAY.

Some of these people are your course mates at the university, they helped you somehow to have a good result. That brother that ignited your prayer life and spiritual growth. That lady that helped your character and attitude. That person that recommended you for that job. That individual that paid your school fee and sent you pocket money when you were almost stranded. Importantly, that woman that conceived you for nine months in pains and that man that gave his sperm cell for you to be a living entity. Ultimately, that great God that has sustained you thus far.

Have you forgotten so soon? Look for these personalities, God is waiting to hear you appreciate him momentarily and others are somewhere as well. Don’t allow your present status or position make you forget them. Look for them today?

SO YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND YET YOU HAVE MORE FAITH IN THE DEVIL THAN IN GOD??? BY Dr. BIEN SUFFICIENT

SO YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND YET YOU HAVE MORE FAITH IN THE DEVIL THAN IN GOD??? BY Dr. BIEN SUFFICIENT

It is amazing how much faith the present day Christian have in the devil especially African Christians. I really do not understand where all these are coming from, but one thing is sure; it is surely not coming from God. We believe so much in what the devil can do but little in what God can do.

I know you might want to argue that with me right now, but before you start your argument I will like you to answer this question sincerely. How many of you do not visit your villages because of the fear of witches and wizards?

How many of you pass by the needy to church and will not offer any helping hand because you believe if you help them they will use your money against you and will collect your luck. Saying that they will now be rich and you will become poor? Because of this stupid superstitions and believes we close our eyes to the poor, hungry, helpless, orphans and widows among us.

Yet you call yourself a Christian! If you believe in God and his promises, why should the thoughts of what the devil can do supersede the promise of God’s protection to you in the scriptures? Because of your fear of the power of the devil you disobey God. Have you forgotten the one reason Jesus said many we be send to hell or heaven? I will take the pleasure to remind you.

41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him,[b] saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:41-46.

I am so very sad of the happenings in the body of Christ today. I am perplexed at the behaviors of believers. We have so much exalted the power of the devil above God; hence we live in the fear of what the devil can do. If only we have the same amount of trust in the world of God and what God can do, we would have taken the nations back to Christ.

Believe me; I have seen this happen first hand before me. Why I was still in medical school, I was invited to minister in Nigeria. So I left Europe for Nigeria, on my arrival one of the pastors from the ministry that invited me picked me up from the airport. As we were walking to his car in order for me to go to my hotel, here comes this elderly man looking very hungry. He came to me to beg for money, saying the daughter was in the hospital and he could not afford food for her or himself as he as spend everything on medical bills. He just needed food. I looked at this elderly man and I was filled with so much compassion, I reached to my bag to give him some money then this pastor asked me not to and shouted on the man to get out. I was amazed and wondered how callous his actions were. I told him not to talk to the man rudely and to step aside. I gave the man the money I wanted to give him and apologized to him for the embarrassment.

As the man left, I was so displeased with this pastor; I could not even believe what he just did. He started telling me how I was wrong to give the man the money. So I asked him why surprised at him not being remorseful of his deeds. So he started by explaining to me. He said listen, this is Lagos. You don’t go about giving people money in Nigeria. As though I was not a Nigerian and needed some lectures. I said why? He said first, he might be a professional beggar, second they can take your money to the shrine and take your luck, you will become poor and they will be rich.

I was amazed at the level of ignorance; to know that people still believes that riches come as a result of luck was barbaric to me. So let’s even say is true, as a Christian filled with the Holy Ghost, you believe that witch doctors are more powerful than the God in you and hence they can take your luck? This rather is a disgrace to God and the Christian faith.

Let’s even say you feel they are professional beggars, does that mean no one of them could be in sincerely needs? How can we be because of the wrong of few people and ignore those who might really be in need. I really understand your concern as regards this, but this one thing I do, I look inside of me when someone approaches me for help. If I am led to give them, I give them as long as I have. I cannot be because some people are dubious and turn my back on those who might really need the help. I will rather help if I have and be defrauded, than turn my back on a true needy person.

Have you ever thought to yourself, what if the person dies and God actually brought them your way so you can help? What if the situation I could have being of help to goes out of hand because of my selfish thoughts? How can I even forgive myself if that happens? Did you even pulse to think, what will Jesus do if he were to be in my shoes? It is a different thing if you don’t have, but to have and turn your back on the needy is callous.

Please brethren let us not be so absorbed in ourselves. Let’s learn to be sensitive to the need of others. I have encountered such situations even in Europe several times. When someone walks to you and ask for assistance and if you assist them, some other person tells you, you shouldn’t have given him/her. That’s all they do beg.

As much as there are some truths in this, how do you then differentiate those who are truly in need? I will rather say, look on the inside of you, if you are led to assist someone please do so. After all, it is never between you and that person but you and God. Don’t miss an opportunity to be a blessing to a fellow man when you have the opportunity to do so. This to me is the core values of Christianity. It is our responsibility to reach out to the needy and helpless. We should not be ruled by some religious dogmas. Let’s be Christians, if we are Christians! We have to be Christ-like!!! Always ask yourself this question. What will Jesus do if he were to be in my shoes???
