THIS IS HOW I RATE MY SUCCESS: I DON’T WANT TO LIVE LONG BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

THIS IS HOW I RATE MY SUCCESS: I DON’T WANT TO LIVE LONG BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

“If I am successful that means I should serve you and help you to come up to where I am” – Sunday Adelaja.

May I never get to the climax that will make me despise the people around me. No matter where I’m now or where I would be years to come, may I continue to be conscious of the fact that some people’s contributions in one way or the other gave me a leap. Some by their words, books, prayers, encouragement, criticisms and love.

I’m conscious of the contributions of my parent, siblings, mentors, friends of like passions and foes. How can I forget the prayers of my mum, the beautiful smiles of my younger sister, fellowships with men of like passion and critisms that takes me back to my table to accelerate my motion?

I don’t want to feel successful by the millions in my account, the property I would acquire, the nations I have visited, times I appear on the T.V, numbers of people that knows my name, what Wikipedia has to say about me or posters of me across the globe. All these can be achieved so cheap even by irresponsible acts.

I want to rate my success by:

How I have been able to effectively harness all the potentials God has embedded in me with proven results.

How I have made life convenient for the earth’s populace even when I go through the rigours on behave of mankind.

How much of me that humanity have benefitted from.

How I have made investments in myself to make virtues and values readily available for others to draw from.

How I have helped others to avoid the pains, neglects and failures I went through.

How my prowess and expertise has been solutions to global ills.

How I have helped others, young and old to be where I am and even better than me faster than I could have done.

How people have smiled in situations where I once cried and almost gave up.

I’m responsible to this “HOWS” and working tirelessly daily to see it accomplished.

I DON’T WANT TO LIVE LONG

Please if you see me soon on your T.V screen spearheading protests against ungodliness and decadences in nations, don’t join others to say I have lost my prayer life neither did I backside.

If you hear on the your radio that I have been arrested for taking actions for global transformation in any quota, please don’t say God is punishing me for my sin. If it would cost me that being a convict, it’s worth it.

If you read on the dailies that I was shot dead for refusing to sign documents that would cause my children and the coming generation  to exalt immorality as a norm; don’t cry, rejoice because I happy to stand for such legacy in expense of my life.

I have made up my mind to fight impunity, ungodliness and decadence with my last blood. I have been preparing myself, reading, praying, fasting, writing, protesting, taking actions and so on till Revival, Spiritual Re-awakening and Global Revolution becomes a reality and the way of life of the people around me.

I don’t care how many people are with me neither do I give the thoughts of others against me a concern. What has eaten me up has done so much to me that I have no room to accommodate the neglects and beefs of others.

WANTED! MEN OF IMPACT: THE SCARCITY OF MY GENERATION BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

WANTED! MEN OF IMPACT: THE SCARCITY OF MY GENERATION BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

“The world is full of so-called prayer warriors who are prayer-ignorant. They’re full of formulas and programs and advice, peddling techniques for getting what you want from God. Don’t fall for that nonsense”- Matt 6:7 (MSG)

In a generation where people pay less attention about the pains and tears of others. In my country where we pray for unity but never take action and responsibility for transformation. We pray, fold our hand and watch people die due to our inadequencies and irresponsibility of citizens. We say we love ourselves but when we hear of kilings and attacks on our fellow citizens, we say we would pray for them only but our heart whispers to us “thank God they are not my family members and it’s not happening in my state”.

The question is, if we hear that our houses and some members of our families are set ablaze, will we continue on our kneels without taking a step?

If we hear that our brothers and sisters are kidnapped, will we go online to say those that are reacting against kidnapping are over exerting their pains?

If we hear that our parents are slaughtered by same set of people that have been killing other families, will you say those that are protesting are not spiritual and born again?

I know if Elijah was in our generation, we would have sent him out of the church and told him he is not a christian for not joining the other prophets in the cave eating bread while they claimed they were praying to God to touch the heart of Ahab and stop the atrocities of Jezebel.

We would have denied Moses being part of us for going straight away to Pharaoh for their freedom. We would have told him, we would continue to be at the mercy of the taskmaster and continue to pray that one day God will deliver us from the Egyptians. We would have called him “KANU” for trying to bring the people of Israel out of Egypt even when it was God’s instruction.

We would have said Jael and Deborah do not understand the bible for rising up against the rulers of the nations. We would have called them enemies of peace, unity and progress.

Continue clapping hands when men are preparing to be corking guns against the church. Continue to pray when people around you are already making believers preys due to negligence and complacence when they are suppose to take steps

WE ARE THE MEN

Where are men like Martin Luther King (Jr.)? Who was a voice on social rebirth and against impunity. A man who does not desire to live long but to initiate a legacy that would speak till eternity.

Where are men like John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln who died for a course against immoralities and decadence. Men that are unbendable to false compliance.

Where are men like Pastor Sunday Adelaja, who fought the beasts in Ukraine and made the country stand still until the order of godliness was restored in the government and economy. You know what? the church saw him initially has a rebel for his actions but they are now reaping the fruits. He was never afraid of various assassination attempts on his life as he had to run into the crowds while spearheading the national transformation to avoid gun shots on him as he could see some of the assassins.

Believe me friends, these men also prayed too but their kneels never made them irresponsible to get to their feet and take actions.

So painful that we can quote these men, read their books and called them our role models but never make attempts to do what they did.

ON RELATIONSHIP: NOT THOSE THAT DEMAND YOU BUT THE ONE THAT DESERVES YOU, SIMPLE LIKE A.B.C.D BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

ON RELATIONSHIP: NOT THOSE THAT DEMAND YOU BUT THE ONE THAT DESERVES YOU, SIMPLE LIKE A.B.C.D BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

Some folks have asked me lately about proposing to someone and they get a “no” for an answer while others said what if the person they desired is not showing any attraction.

Hmmm! I have my reservations though and I’m not a relationship expert as it appears. I’m even yet to really experience one and if they knew I wasn’t engaged, they would have understood they met the wrong person on the subject. Lol, it appears like the blind leading the blind.

These are my reservations;

TO MY BROTHER

A. Anyone that rejects you the way you are out of God’s will as a man gives your future spouse (wife) the opportunity to appreciate God for bringing a wonderful man like you her way if you have discovered purpose and on the quest of fulfilling it. Be of good cheer.

TO MY SISTER

B. Anyman you desire but not showing attraction signals that he is not for you, your “Prince Charming” is on the way. Don’t attract someone’s so you won’t fall in the wrong hand. You don’t have to let someone who shouldn’t be occupy your heart, that’s not how to prove that humans are “matter” and can occupy space. The scripture “occupy till I come” is for our soon King Jesus, not someone “occupy till He(your prince charming) comes”.

TO ALL

C. Purpose is greater than Marriage and marriage is a choice. God allowed Adam to have the understanding of his purpose and the assignment before him before the need of a help meet. Why are so worried to discover your spouse when you are yet to discover purpose?

If young people give attention to “purpose discovery” the way they give attention to “spouse discovery”, the world would have been better than this. Many ideas, innovations and inventions have been lost on the journey of relationship and marriage.

If young people can listen to messages and attend seminars on purpose the way they listen to messages and attend seminars on relationship, the population of young people that are mediocres would have been negligible by now.

And to those changing fiance and fiancees like clothes, I tell you “weldone sir and weldone ma”, if you have been changing your approach to your purpose like this, you would have made a headway.

I would rather remain a single fulfilling purpose than get engaged to someone when I have disengaged from purpose. Lol, but I want to have beautiful wife and wonderful kids too that why I have been working tirelessly to fulfill purpose maximaxilly.

I want to be an asset to my spouse and I want her to be the same. I don’t want to be a liability neither do I want her to be. Enough of my generation raising confused singles that are graduating to confused partners without a direction for their lives.

To some, their duration of being in a relationship to see whether it would work is equivalent to the time of having a MBBS degree. They are also doing “house job” by sleeping around in the home of each other after over seven years of being in a “cult-ship”. Many are doing something productive with their years, you are reducing yourself with something you don’t understand. Look at my lips as I do this “Smhhh”.

My friend by wise, it’s only a fool that blames others or a factor for his ignorance.

TO THOSE ENGAGED

D. If God is in it, it will work.  At this juncture, I’m not speaking to category of people that tells me they are engaged but not sure whether the person really want to marry them. I have answered them often to continue fooling themselves as pleasure toys and waste bins.

When it’s on a godly basis with a purpose in view, it will work. Stop comparing who you are engaged with to someone else’s spouse. Whatever you desire from him or her, let the person know. Build what and who your spouse to be constructively with mutual agreement.

Let me stop here, before some people crucify me. I hope with this few point I have been able to convince you and not confuse you to stay focus on your purpose and get connected to the one who deserves you and not demand you.

Thanks for reading. I know it’s worth a while and it’s on relationship, you love it. Please if God has told you who my spouse would be please help me tell her, I will meet her soon someday. Sooner than expected, we would get to know ourselves. It’s not that I don’t desire to look for her now but I also desire to settle some things at this season of my life, she would appreciate and admire me the more for this.

TELL THEM THAT I AM TIRED OF PRAYING FOR THIS COUNTRY NIGERIA AND EVEN IF I AM WRONG, PLEASE, DON’T CORRECT ME BY IYKE ORIAKU

TELL THEM THAT I AM TIRED OF PRAYING FOR THIS COUNTRY NIGERIA AND EVEN IF I AM WRONG, PLEASE, DON’T CORRECT ME BY IYKE ORIAKU

I am tired of coming online and seeing every one saying: ‘Pray for Nigeria’. As if all these years, we have been cursing Nigeria.

Where was all our prayers when armoured cars rolled into Abia State and entered private residents?

Where was our prayers when armed military men intercepted armless youths and forced them to drink mud?

Where was our prayers when the military opened fire on boys who were not with any knive and their dead bodies littered the streets of their mother land?

As if that was not enough, we were still kneeling down, praying, few hours after, they invaded a home and shot and killed many people and allegedly took their dead bodies away.

Were we not praying when harmless boys who went to pray in Ngwa High School Aba, for the success of their course were shot and killed?

Were we not praying when some herdsmen invaded communities, and slaughtered everyone insight at night? Razed down buildings and till today none of them were arrested. We were still praying, and recently, they invaded another place in Plateau State and killed scores of people, cold blooded.

And we are still kneeling down praying?

Some of the people behind boko haram bombings and killings and mass destructions were pardoned. But some of the boys who are just gathering, with no razor blade on them were shot with live bullets and killed. Many of them, their bodies were taken away. Some, were lucky to be given mass burials.

What did they do?

Because they say they want to leave Nigeria and be on their own.

Because thy say they are tired of injustice and tribalism.

Because they said they want to be left to go and kill themselves by themselves.

It is better for them to kill themselves by themselves than for a foreigner to be killing them in the name of One Nigerian. They say they want a referendum. For the whole world to see the result and judge if they are interested in Nigeria or not.

Was that too much to ask for?

Did they shoot any gun?

All the while they have been going from city to city, in their millions, have we ever heard that one bottle of coca cola was broken?

But they were cornered and slaughtered in the most heartbreaking ways. And you are still kneeling down praying for Nigeria?

We sure need to wake up from this religious slumber. If we are praying when we should be talking, we are joking. If we run inside the church, holding a prayer program for Nigeria when we should meet our leaders in their offices and talk sense into them, we are joking.

Have we not prayed enough?…

Is Nigeria the only country with many ethnic groups seeking for secession?…

Is Nigeria the only country with many religions?…

Why will it be only Nigeria that we will be praying for every time?…

When are we going to talk to Nigeria?

Will America or Britain or France give live bullets to their military to start shooting at unarmed civilians?

Yet. These countries don’t pray half of the way we pray. But there is order and value to human lives. So, you want me to start praying for our military to know that they use rubber bullets to combat insurrections and civil defiances in other countries?…

You want me to pray so that God will go and remind our leaders that those Fulani herdsmen that has killed and are still killing people need to be arrested?

You want me to pray so that they will remember that it is constitutional all over the world for a people to peacefully seek for separation from their host States when they feel alienated?

Should we call a prayer for our leaders to know that there was no civil unrest in Umuahia, Abia State, for all these years, until few days ago when the military invaded that town?

What will be our prayer topic?

Is it for our leaders to know that human lives are more important than cattles and cows?…

How long shall we keep praying for a nation that values the lives of animals than the lives of the human being they are leading?…

A nation where children are beaten and are also beaten for crying?

This is not Nigeria against IPOB. It is a between conscience against callousness. It is a war between facts and brutality. A war between this generation and the stories they will tell the coming generation.

Have we not seen tribal chaevenism enough in this country?…

Have we not felt the heat of religious rancour enough?

What I am seeing coming to Nigeria, sitting in church and ‘praying’ for Nigeria will not be enough to save us all from it. Thousands of those that have been killed and displaced by Boko Haram insurgents were not there the day Mohammed Yusuf was killed extra judiciously by Nigeria government. But that single ‘successful operation’ has cost many families their bread winners.

We have prayed enough in Nigeria. It is time to talk to Nigeria. This is not about Nigerian Army and IPOB agitators. This is between wisdom and error. Between intellectualism and mental retardation.

The muslim religious leaders were kneeling down praying for Nigeria the way we are doing now when the government invaded Mohammed Yusuf and killed him. Since then, how many innocent Nigerians have paid for that social injustice with their lives?

Have the people that ordered the killing of that young man been affected by Boko Haram?

Have they died?…

Perhaps, none. But directly and indirectly, it has affected all the tribes of this country.

How can we kill people that we have not tried and found guilty?

May Christians not kneel down and be praying and watch this government repeat the error they did in Adamawa, in the house of Mohammed Yusuf, the founder of Boko Haram. If not, the consequences will affect everybody. Remember that Nigeria also boasted with their army with Boko Haram. They also threatened with their armoured tankers and plane fighters. But how many military men have being lost since that error was made?

And has there military capacity been enough to quench that fire we ignited and fanned by our restiveness and power drunkenness?

Friends, we have ‘prayed’ enough. Let’s look for ways to talk to our leaders. Because Nigerian Army might not have the capacity to withstand what I am seeing in the spirit.

Hmmm

We don’t want another war. And we don’t need it. Because we already have enough tribal and religious cold wars going on here.

I want to talk to IPOB members now. Brother, hate speech can only get you attention. But it will not give you the freedom. I might not tell you to drop the cause. But violence will bring a curse to the cause.

Don’t ever think about it! There is no need dying young for a cause you should be living long for? If you die, the cause might die. If you use wisdom your journey out from ‘serfdom’ might be faster.

Friends, I have spoken to IPOB. Can someone else help me speak to Nigeria?

IF they can be ready to dialogue with terrorists that have killed thousands of men and women. Why is it hard to use dialogue with these people that have not shot one bullet since they started? When machine guns replaces the use of dialogue, we are only inviting anarchy and postponing the end of rebellions.

A group of people that doesn’t deserve to be invited for dialogue has every right to ask for secession from that country.

I say No to war….

I say No to cold war…

God bless you!e

BE WATCHFUL: KNOW WHEN TO STOP BY OGHENEROBOR DAVID

BE WATCHFUL: KNOW WHEN TO STOP BY OGHENEROBOR DAVID
Galatians 5:16-17 KJV

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

[17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Don‘t Feed the Flesh at the Expense of the Spirit.

Many times when you want you make progress in your spiritual Journey there are things that seems to weigh you down and back, and as you press into the Spirit by the word and prayer to know the lord, sometimes it feels like you should take a break.

You know what I mean right??

Like you’ve been praying and fasting, studying the word and you feel like.. can’t i have a break and watch a movie, a football match or go to the cinema?

I know a certain young man who fasted for many days. (No food and no water, he was praying and fasting). He made so much progress in the spirit , but after the fasting and prayer he went wild on eating and resting to “Gain Back” his physical strength.

But the problem was that he didn’t know when to stop. Soon enough he had fed his flesh so much that at a point it began to look as though he didn’t even fast at all, worldly and fleshly desires began to re-surface. He wasn’t WATCHFUL. ..

That’s how it is with US. We all face these things on daily basis, when the Spirit is nudging us to Pray and go further with him that’s when you want to watch the movie more, you want to sleep more, you want to eat more….

Sometimes it’s really hard I must confess, just when you want to start the sleep the Spirit begins to nudge You to Arise. The conflict between the Flesh and the Spirit. We must choose whom we shall submit to. But choose the discipline of the Spirit and walk into the liberty of God _ Hallelujah!!!

As great as these things are, you must know when to STOP and not allow your flesh overrun your spirit. Don’t play games till you can no longer study the Bible, don’t talk to bae or boo till you can no longer talk to GOD. .

Be watchful.

Tell me if this blessed you.

DISCLAIMER:

This does not in any way mean that it’s wrong to eat, or it’s wrong to go to the cinema or it’s wrong to play games. It means they shouldn’t take more priority than the things that really matter

WHAT HAVE YOU PROMISED YOURSELF? “HE IS A PROMISING CHILD”, MY TEACHER’S COMMENT THAT MADE ME PURSUE EXCELLENCE BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

WHAT HAVE YOU PROMISED YOURSELF? “HE IS A PROMISING CHILD”, MY TEACHER’S COMMENT THAT MADE ME PURSUE EXCELLENCE BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

It began with a tireless pursuit for academic excellence as a primary school lad. I always desired to have the gift my father promised me if I emerge as the best student. He promised me a bicycle while I promised him a first position. He fulfilled his promise after I was the best student in the class consecutively. I fulfilled my promise before his.

The consecutive and consistent track record of my excellent results warranted me to have a double promotion from primary four to primary six with an option to write the primary school leaving certificate exams (common entrance). My performance in the class exams and the external exams made me to also be among the first five best student in my new class.

After the whole razz matazz of the graduation ceremony and encouragement from my class teacher, I longed to check my report dossier for her comment. Her comment gave me the first quantum leap for being an excellent enthusiast. She wrote ” He is a promising Child”.

After reading her comment, several thoughts ran through my mind, as I imagined; “I only promised my parents to always have an excellent result, I never promised Anty”. I said to myself “David! enough of promising others, promise yourself something that is worth pursuing”.

At that scene, I made a promise to myself to be the best student all through my time in the secondary school and I concluded that nothing would make me breach this promise come what may. I knew it would be hard work, I knew there are other students I would meet over there that may be better than me but like it is been said “promise is a debt”, I never wanted to be a debtor.

OUR PERSPECTIVES ARE DIFFERENT.

Other intending students would be thinking of wearing and rocking their new secondary school uniform but I had a total different focus of going to the secondary school. I saw beyond the new uniform to a new promise of being the overall best student every term all through my time there.

Some where thinking of competing with me in the class while I was thinking of competing with the whole student in the school. I imagined myself coming forth majestically with my parents applauding me as I receive the award every year as the overall best student. I could imagine the proprietor of the school and chairman during  the speech, prize and valedictory ceremony calling my name to receive the award if even when I was yet to know the secondary school my parents would enrol me.

I DIDN’T BREACH THE PROMISE, MAKE A PROMISE TO YOURSELF TODAY.

By His grace and enablement, I didn’t breach the promise and everything became a reality year after year. Each time I look at the award in my room and the pictures, I remember the promise.

Maybe you are out there by the motivation of others, it can’t really get you far because you might be disappointed by those that you think are keeping going if you are not motivated yourself from within. If I had made such promise because of my parent and they refuse to fulfill theirs, I might give up.

I’m tired of speaking to young people who tell me, they are studying medicine because they promised their father to be a medical doctor even when they are late. You are still alive and you still haven’t promised yourself what you would demand from your life.

Enough of people being in a relationship because a close colleague suggested it for them but they personally have no reason or conviction.

Please stop that conquest if your aim of initiating it is only because you don’t want to disappoint one fellow who is not even responsible for his own life but desires you to be under his own lordship.

Don’t tell me you chose that career and ambition because you wanted to compete with someone who is not even aware of your intention.

Enough of folks starting up foundations because they think that is the only tool for reaching out to the masses with ulterior motives.

WHAT HAVE YOU PROMISED YOURSELF?

Being faithful to a promise requires a prize, it is a great tragedy to be faithful to a promise with a wrong intention. It requires hardwork, enthusiasm, consistency, commitment, thinking always and so on.

Reflect on major issues of your life today, make promises of what you desire as inspired by the God factor and be faithful to it.

YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH: ADD TO YOUR VIRTUE BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH: ADD TO YOUR VIRTUE BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

Now that you think other people can do it but not you,

You see yourself as the least qualified for that task,

What a good excuse,

It only signals one thing because it’s a good assumption anyway,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.

You focus more on your weakness,

But His strength is made perfect in your inadequacies,

Let the weak say I am strong is not a suggestion,

It’s a reality of faith,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.

You wish to be like that person,

Neglecting the fact that someone in the camera desires a virtue in you,

You have concluded that there is nothing good about you,

You may be right because there are actually better things deposited in you,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.

Inside you is a gold mine,

Explore the virtues in you and let humanity benefit from your goodies,

No one can despise you except you first despise yourself,

Master your mind and be optimistic as you take steps of progress,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.

That everyone can do something you desire but you can’t do it the way they do,

It is a plus for you and nothing to worry about,

It only means you have a unique approach to do it that others can emulate,

Think deep about it because it is already in your mind,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.

You think others are running ahead you because you have some excesses,

It’s true that you have excesses,

You can’t have excesses in your vessel and be on the fast lane,

Your true excesses are potentials that you are yet to utilize,

Add to your virtue, you are good enough.
