We see a gross darkness on the face of the earth. Men marching on a fast lane to hell. Multitudes afflicted and frustrated. Miracles, signs and wonders are becoming a scarce occurrence when we have enormous people around waiting and longing to experience one.
We have read enough about revival, we want to experience it on a daily basis. I know we cannot always do everything but we can do something on the altar of prayer.
We want to burn on for you, Lord. After all, whatever you may appoint, prayer is the great thing. Oh, that we may be a men of prayer!
Give us the love that leads the way, the faith that nothing can dismay, the hope no disappointment tire, the passion that will burn like fire. Let us sink to the clod; make us thy fuel, flame of God.
In spite of satan, we will pray, spend hours in prayer; rather neglect friends than not pray. Rather fast and lose breakfast, dinner, supper and sleep too than not pray.
We must not only talk about prayer, we must pray in right earnest. The Lord is near; He comes softly while the virgins slumber.
Give us the fire of prayer precious Lord; “that we may pray with tears, in brokenness, that we may pray for the lost world, then pray for nations we knew little about.
Our heart is at rest, but we are restless for revival. We have peace, yet we are at war against principalities, power and everything in the church that clutters up and blocked channel through which revival could come.
Because the church has lost “Holy Ghost Fire” many are going to “Hell Fire” today. Oh my father “that we may stand the test of time in this perverted generation”.
O! our saviour, we say this again with more insistence than ever; “teach us to pray”; impart in us all disposition needful for the prayer of the Holy Spirit. Make us humble, simple and docile; may we do all that is in our own power to become so.
Of what use is our prayer if the Holy Spirit does not pray with us? Come, Holy Spirit, come to dwell and work with us! Take possession of our understanding and of our will; govern our actions not only at the moment of prayer but at every moment.
Help us Holy Spirit as we pray with great burden.
