JESUS AT THE CENTRE OF ALL PART 3; DOING RATHER THAN BEING.
We know our rights as believers but we fail in the place of our responsibilities to experiencing all that Christ died for us to be on earth.
We have read about our mastery in Christ but we are complacent to paying the price for its reality. Our negligence has robbed us of Zoe, the God’s kind of life.
We desire the grace and anointing upon great men in the faith but we are slow to do what they did to get the grace at work in their lives.
So many of us know what it means to believe in Jesus but we don’t know what it means to be with Jesus.
We know how to talk about Jesus but we don’t know how to listen to Jesus to talk to us. Instead of us to follow the normal precept of; “speak Lord, thy servant heareth”, we desire to make it; “hear how I want it done Lord, thy servant speaketh”.
We are experts at doing the works of the ministry but we don’t know how to let God work in our hearts.
We know much about saving souls but we have no clue about soul making. We are celebrating and publicizing the number of souls that came out for altar call while we ministered at a meeting but we are not concerned about how these souls are faring in the faith after the meeting.
We are comfortable with God’s people but uncomfortable when we are alone with God. We are always in haste when we alone with Him. We spend more time with people of God to discuss the God of the people but we spend less time alone with the God of the people on how He can work on us to meet the need of the people.
May God help us do the needful per time. Take us O Lord from the cross road of wishes to the place of responsibility. The beginning is yet to begin.
To be continued.
